Exhibition of Electrical and Electromechanical Components for Industry, Craft, Plant Engineering and Power Distribution | 19 – 20.10.2022

Elettroespo is a biennial exhibition that began in 1980 with four exhibitors at the Albergo Europa in Lugano. The exhibition was essentially conceived as an additional service provided by Fabbri SA to its customers. For over 20 years, it has been managed and organised by Dimitri Fabbri, who, in addition to managing the Ticino branch of Sonepar Suisse SA, also takes care of the organisation and relations with exhibitors.

Since Ticino is a border region, the wholesaler was then as now an indispensable link between the predominantly German-speaking manufacturers and the Ticino electricians. More than twenty years have passed and the strong service value in the offer for electrical professionals has become ever greater, in a particularly aggressive competitive environment.

Over the years, the exhibition has grown in importance as a means of disseminating new technologies and as a stimulus for the canton’s economy, becoming one of the most important industry exhibitions in Switzerland: Today, it is the second most important after Electro-Tec, the Bern Biennale, which alternates with the Ticino Biennale in odd-numbered years.

The success of the fair is mainly due to the high quality of the exhibitors, the materials, the technology and the services offered. For around fifteen years, the Elettroespo has been held at the Espocentro in Bellinzona on a total area of 1200 square metres, with around forty exhibitors from all over Switzerland and abroad and over 1500 visitors.
