MRE energy meter

In the era of the energy transition, it is becoming increasingly important to know the energy requirements of an entire plant or even a single outlet. Optimising the energy flow of infrastructure and industrial plants is no longer the exclusive domain of typical energy-intensive companies, but also affects SMEs in the industrial and service sectors. The early detection of service requirements for power components and the optimum utilisation of distribution feeders are also important issues in a modern automation environment. These tasks require a powerful measurement infrastructure that can be scaled to different needs and topologies.

The MRE-44S/DC24V is a compact energy measuring device for high-precision measurement of all electrical parameters. It can be used in all grid systems with a frequency of 30-65 Hz. Thanks to its high accuracy class (current 0.1, voltage 0.05) and numerous optional functions, such as an extension of the mains frequency range from 15 Hz to 400 Hz, a complete power quality analysis and the analysis of harmonics up to 50 kHz, it can be used flexibly for almost all measurement tasks in the electrical infrastructure of industrial, office and administrative buildings.
The MRE can be configured clearly and in line with the application with just a few clicks using the integrated web server. Thanks to the integrated search function, the required parameters can be found quickly. Important values can be summarised in a favourites list and displayed graphically. Two authorisation levels protect the device against unauthorised access and ensure a high level of security.

A powerful data logger is available for data logging. This allows the measurement data from several MREs to be summarised and displayed graphically and reports to be created.

The advantages are:

  • Highly accurate measurement, recording and storage of all important electrical parameters. For identifying potential savings and deviations as part of energy management in accordance with EN 50001.
  • Monitoring of electrical power quality (PQ) through complete PQ analysis and comprehensive recording of harmonics up to 50 kHz. The monitoring of individual loads or entire grids enables the identification of PQ problems or the monitoring of critical components.
  • Continuous operation via integrated web browser for visualisation and parameterisation. Quick access to all relevant data at any time via mobile devices or laptop without additional software.
  • Powerful logging of measurement data from multiple MREs via the data logger allows long-term analyses in high resolution and can also be used for statistical data evaluation and fault prediction.
